Terms of Service

LitMemo is a private writing management tool designed to help creators manage characters, settings, timelines, foreshadowing, and other creative materials.

LitMemo is not a content publishing platform. Users' creative content is stored in their private accounts, and the platform does not proactively index, recommend, display, or distribute any user content.

The intellectual property rights to all content you create with LitMemo belong to you. You agree to grant LitMemo the limited, non-exclusive license necessary to provide the service (including storing, transmitting, and displaying your content); this license terminates when you delete the content or close your account.

Users bear full legal responsibility for all content they create on LitMemo. The platform does not review or endorse the legality, appropriateness, or accuracy of user content.

Users must ensure that their content does not violate the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or the applicable regulations of their own jurisdiction.

The following content is strictly prohibited on LitMemo, and violations will result in immediate account termination:

• •Any sexual depiction involving minors (zero tolerance, no exceptions)
• •Sexual content depicting real, identifiable individuals without their consent
• •Content involving violent sexual abuse, bestiality, or other material classified as "hardcore" under Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of China
• •Incitement to violence, terrorism, hate speech, or other content that violates the laws of the Republic of China

You must be at least 13 years old to use LitMemo. Children under 13 may not register for or use this service.

LitMemo provides AI-assisted writing features. AI-generated content is for reference only; users are responsible for reviewing it and for the final content.

AI services may be subject to the policies of third-party API providers. LitMemo does not guarantee the continued availability or output quality of its AI services.

LitMemo provides its service on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis and makes no express or implied warranties regarding the continued availability, security, timeliness, data integrity, or error-free operation of the service, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LitMemo, its operating team, and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this service, including but not limited to data loss, lost profits, service interruption, or the impact of changes to third-party services, whether or not they were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Users understand and agree that LitMemo bears no liability for service interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, network failures, third-party service outages, and government action.

Users agree to indemnify and hold LitMemo and its operating team harmless from any claims, damages, and costs arising from their violation of these Terms or from their content infringing the rights of third parties.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.

If you discover content or conduct that violates these Terms, you may report it through the reporting channels the platform provides. LitMemo will make its best effort to address valid reports within a reasonable time after receiving them.

Reports of sexual content involving minors will be prioritized, and we will cooperate with the relevant authorities' investigations as required by law.

LitMemo reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time. Significant changes will be announced to users through the platform before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

Both monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically: at the end of each monthly or annual period, the next period's fee is charged automatically to your original payment method until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account settings; after cancelling, you will not be charged again for the next period and can keep using the service until the end of the current billing period.

If you cancel, downgrade, or stop using the service during a billing period, fees already paid are non-refundable, but you may keep using the service until the end of the current billing period. Upgrades take effect immediately; the system prorates based on the days remaining in the current period, charges only the difference between the old and new plans, and continues auto-renewing under the same subscription.
